The Role of an IT Project Manager

Responsible for managing the successful delivery of medium and/or moderately complex projects; or workstreams within major change programmes, within the constraints of scope, quality, time, and cost, to deliver specified customer requirements.

Alternativelydelivers several smaller, less complex, projects in parallel with each other.
The focus for this role will be on the transfer from a data centre to a cloud-based system.

Working through obsolesce Systems, Apps and Hardware To achieve this, the Project Managermust ensure that the management and support for each project is adequate.

Project progress, budget, risks, issues, and variances must be monitored.

The Project Manager is responsible for the project producing a result that can achieve the benefits defined in the business case.

Principal Accountabilities Definition, documentation, and safe execution of medium, or moderately complex projects or workstreams adhering to agreed methodologies and standards.

Prepares and maintains realistic project and quality plans.
Effectively estimates cost, timescales, and resource requirements for the successful delivery of the project to the agreed scope.
Monitors performance against plan and takes action where these deviate from agreed tolerances.
Provides reports to the Project Board and Senior Management as required.
Provides effective leadership to the project team ensuring the team members are motivated and developing their skills and experience.
Allocation of tasks to team members and appraising individual performance against agreed objectives.
Actively represents the project team, ensuring that effective relationships are built and maintained with the business.
Agree any delegation and use of Project Assurance roles required by the Project Board and/or Project/Programme Manager.
Manages risks, including the development of contingency plans.
Liaison with the management team and/or Project Board to assure the overall direction and integrity of the project/business case/workstream.
Management of external suppliers where appropriate.
Ensures that the project is formally closed, and lessons learned are captured and actioned.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience

We're looking for individuals who have experience of working in an IT Project background with Prince2 or similar qualification, Waterfall methodologies, Office 365, MS Teams, Microsoft Project, and SharePoint.

Cloud
- based experience would be a benefit aswould knowledge of Azure.
You will also be required to complete a short video interview to be considered for this role.
