Teaching Assistant

TA required at secondary schools in and around Cambridge - £90 per day based on experience - Immediate start


Tradewind is working with a variety of local Secondary Schools in Cambridgeshire, who are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join their teams.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students' learning and development, working closely with experienced teaching staff to create an inclusive and supportive environment.


In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with students aged 11-16, providing one-to-one and small group support where necessary.

You will work with students who may require additional help, including those with special educational needs or disabilities, ensuring that they are fully included in classroom activities.


Secondary School Teaching Assistant - KS3 & KS- located in and around Cambridge

Previous experience working with secondary school students desirable

Full time role Monday - Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm

Competitive salary of £90 per day
As a Teaching Assistant, your day will be varied and challenging.

You will work closely with teaching staff, providing support in classroom activities, preparing resources and materials for lessons, and working with individual students or small groups who require additional assistance.

You will also assist with administrative tasks such as record-keeping and report preparation, and help to maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting good behaviour and discipline, and managing any challenges that arise.

The key requirements for this role are:
  • Degree holder or previous experience working as a TA desirable
  • Experience in managing challenging behaviour, preferably in a classroom setting
  • A positive and proactive attitude towards learning and development
  • Creativity and flexibility to adapt to different teaching and learning styles
  • An empathetic and supportive approach towards students with special educational needs or disabilities.
