In this exciting role, you will play a crucial role in supporting our accounts department by ensuring the smooth running of our financial operations.


Main Role
We are looking for an ambitious Finance Assistant to join our team.

The individual will work closely with the Finance Manager and must be a highly organised professional that we can help develop and build upon the experiences they have already within accounting.


Key responsibilities will include;

  • Accurately record and process financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, purchase orders, and payments
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Reconcile bank statements and identify and resolve any discrepancies
  • Cash management and cash flow forecasting
  • Sales invoicing and credit control
  • Preparation of payroll & timesheet information
  • CIS supplier verification, monthly returns and reports to suppliers
  • Provide general administrative support to the finance department, including filing, data entry, and answering phone calls

The Person

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, Excel, Word, Outlook etc
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with a great personality
  • Excellent organisational, attention to detail and time management skills
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a finance or accounting role preferred
  • Sage 50 knowledge is desirable but not essential
The hours of work are Monday to Friday 8:45 am - 5:15 pm, with 30 minutes for lunch.

Holiday entitlement is 20 days plus statutory holidays.

Salary:
Up to £27,000.00 per year
