    Job Description
    McKie Recruit are seeking an experienced Family Solicitor, whom will be responsible for developing the Department and handling a caseload of privately funded family matters from instruction to completion.

    Key tasks will include:
    - Managing your own caseload of family law matters, including divorce and finances, civil partnerships, separation, cohabitation and pre-nuptial agreements; Domestic abuse and Injunctions; Change of name, child contact and child re-location.- Progressing your caseload in a manner to ensure that clients receive appropriate, professional, timely and pertinent legal advice, with regular contact, whilst managing their expectations.
    - Ensuring proper control of work in progress, billing and cash collection.
    - Drafting and preparation of documents.
    - Networking and business development.- To undertake self-development and comply with relevant training requirements by the Law Society/CILEX and in-house training when required.
    - Undertaking other duties reasonably required by partners or senior management.

    Requirements

    · Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive.

    · At least 4 years PQE.

    · Experience of handling a caseload of family law matters including divorce, children, mediation, financial matters, collaborative law and domestic violence.

    · Excellent organisational and analytical skills.

    · Have proven IT skills and ability to adapt new technology.

    · Excellent communication skills including oral and written presentation skills.

    · The ability to provide a high level of client care.

    · Advocacy experience.

    · Member of Resolution.

    · Experience in Legal Aid work.

    · Experience in Wills and Probate.

    · Proficient with Proclaim Case Management, although training will be provided.
