    Job Title: M&E Operations/Contracts Manager

    We at CDM Recruitment are currently working on behalf of a leading provider of mechanical and electrical (M&E) engineering in the North East. The company specialise in providing high-quality M&E services across various sectors including commercial, residential, industrial, and healthcare.

    Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced M&E Operations/Contracts Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of M&E projects from inception to completion, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The M&E Operations/Contracts Manager will play a key role in liaising with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage and oversee multiple M&E projects concurrently, ranging in size and complexity.
    • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
    • Coordinate with clients to understand project requirements and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Procure subcontractors and suppliers as necessary, and manage subcontractor relationships to ensure timely delivery of services and materials.
    • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
    • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors, to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Prepare and submit progress reports, change orders, and other project documentation as required.

    Experience:

    • Proven experience in managing M&E contracts/projects within the construction industry.
    • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, building codes, and regulations.
    • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage budgets, and meet deadlines.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
    • Strong leadership abilities, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire project teams.
    • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
