Accounting Technician

Oldham

Up to £24,000


Butler Rose are pleased to be working with a brilliant public practice based in Oldham, who are looking to continue growth within the business by adding an Accounting Technician to their team.


Duties:


  • Supporting the preparation of accounts and tax returns, both limited and unincorporated, alongside supporting the other compliance requirements of clients specific to each department.
  • Supporting senior members of the team with a varying number of tasks to support clients directly. This will give you exposure to all sides of accountancy and a basic understanding of the clients we deal with.
  • Over time you will interact with the clients directly so as to advise them on any questions asked and to share information requested.
  • Learning to use cloudbased accounts software and accounts production software so you can facilitate the preparation of the accounts with both.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience working in an accountancy practice or an officebased role, 12 months or more.
  • Previous experience using cloud accountancy software, Quickbooks and Xero (if possible).
  • Previous experience in a client facing role, both verbal and written.
  • Strong IT, numeracy, and literacy skills.
