    Description

    The ER Hub provides advice and expertise covering all employee relations issues and employment legislation, across Capita, UK and ROI, and you will play a key part in our success.

    This Senior ER Advisor role will be specifically be supporting our Fire and Rescue area in Capita.

    Reporting to the ER Manager you will provide comprehensive HR advice and guidance to managers and colleagues in this area on a wide variety of operational employment related issues, ensuring that the service standards and operational performance targets are met.

    You will be part of a small team that will support the cultural change that the Fire Service are looking to make.

    This is a remote role that will deliver training and coaching to line managers as well as support on absence management.

    We work Monday to Friday, 37.This is a fixed term contract until at least September 2024 but may continue until the end of the year.

    Training managers in the team on specific ER processes and ways of working with a focus on Capita's Grievance and Disciplinary Policy
    Work with the business to educate leaders on the Fire Service's Retirement & Ill Health policies to drive ownership of the process
    Training & coaching Managers in difficult conversations
    Supporting and training managers with recording correct information on Workday
    Assisting managers in resolving issues with the ER Hub or Peoplehub
    Ensuring annual leave is accurate and auditing the current allowances.
    Review of all Contracts (Standard and TUPE) ensuring Workday holds the correct information
    On a day to day basis supporting managers and employees on our Fire and Rescue contract with ER issues:
    • Providing consistent specialist HR advice and guidance to managers and employees in line with Capita People Policy and Process across the full breadth of ER including;
    AWOL, Performance, Disciplinary and Grievance
    Flexible Working
    Raising awareness of the importance of undertaking maternity, DSE, stress and other risk assessments. Excellent written and telephone communication skills
