The Chief Operating Office function within DDTS is recruiting a User Knowledge and Awareness Officer as part of the Change Awareness and Adoption team.

This role supports DDTS to deliver critical IT services and projects to 23,000 staff. This role is part of the team that manages the change, user insights, training, and communications for this work.

In this role you'll ensure that the team are able to cascade their work in an impactful way across a multitude of channels.

We strive to help Defra group staff understand what IT is available to enable them to work smarter.


Responsibilities

  • Issuing preprepared and approved communications and calendar appointments to our IT staff.
  • Preparing and creating briefing notes.
  • Managing relationships between team and wider organisation.
  • Team mailbox management, dealing with enquiries and ensuring service alerts are published on time.
  • Gathering feedback and creating evaluation packages.
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvements.
  • Coordinating responses to queries as well as organising and coordinating content.

Skills and Experience

  • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Drafting skills and a good knowledge of how to use Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong organisation skills to prioritise and juggle tasks, experience in working in a busy delivery environment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders to understand and influence the needs of the business.
  • Negotiating skills to balance competing business requirements to ensure the required outcome.
  • Influencing and persuading people at all levels to resolve conflicts and create workable solutions.
  • A working understanding of a complex organisation and understanding of organisational strategy and Business Plan to enable productive conversations with stakeholders and forward planning of the team's work.

Salary:
£30,317.00-£36,606.00 per year
