We have a vacancy as Placement and Internship Officer, within the Employability and Apprenticeship Directorate.

This role will support students into securing internship and placement opportunities, delivering a high level of service.

Connecting with employers and external partnerships, the post holder will identify roles suitable for our students, compliant with relevant employment legislation and guidance.


As part of the new Strategic plan, the University of Greenwich intends to elevate its employability support for students, alumni, and employers, as well as growing and enhancing its apprenticeship provision.

The university already has a long-held commitment to employment focussed degrees, and this department will play an essential part in ensuring the university is a sector leader in its relationships with employers and partners and is recognised as providing students with outstanding employability support.


We are looking for someone with demonstrable understanding of the graduate recruitment / early careers landscape, and who can build strong and positive working relationships with internal/external stakeholders.

You will be approachable and knowledgeable when advising students during 121's and presentations, as well as showing excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines when processing placement paperwork.

This is especially important, to ensure accurate reporting to UKVI and to meet legislation requirements.

You will be able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with the Placement and Internship Team and the Wider Employability and Apprenticeship Directorate.

You will be able to use Microsoft packages effectively, alongside an ability to creatively promote placement and internship opportunities.
