Job Responsibilities:
Developing designs and plans for drainage systems, including stormwater management, sewer systems, culverts, etc. for high-rise mix-use urban redevelopments.
Developing designs for different highways and road schemes.
Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations whilst preparing environmental impact assessments, and adhering to relevant codes and standards.
Working and collaborating with Lead Local Flood Authorities (LLFAs).Producing Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) independently.
Managing and mentoring other engineers and technicians in the development of design and project information.
Independently leading on a wide range of projects involving client liaison, financial and quality management.
Utilizing relevant drainage design softwares, including Microdrainage, Civils 3D, AutoCAD, etc.
Preparing detailed reports, drawings, and technical documentation related to drainage projects.

Successful candidate specifications:
Relevant degree in Civil Engineering (i.e. BSc/BEng/MSc/MEng/etc.)
Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with the Engineering Council UK is highly desirable.
Minimum 6+ years' experience designing development infrastructure, particularly in drainage, highways and flood risk.
Experience producing and writing up Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs), independently and unsupervised.
Experience working and collaborating with Lead Local Flood Authorities (LLFAs)
Management experience of other engineers and technicians over a range of projects on design development information is preferrable.
A good technical background and grounding in the design of drainage, flood risk assessments (FRAs), highways and external works.
Working towards attaining Chartership status, if not already achieved.
Experience of the following computer packages is essential: Microdrainage, Civils 3D and AutoCAD for drainage networks
