My client is a US law firm with 2000 lawyers in offices across the globe. The firm can trace its beginnings to the late 1800s. They are now a major legal power.

The London office has been established for many years and offers a full legal practice includingCorporate, Insurance, Tax and Real Estate.

The firm is now looking to hire a Reporting Analyst. The Reporting Analyst will support the Finance Manager.

The Reporting Analyst will be responsible for VAT reporting across European offices and supporting the analysis and reporting of data related tothe client matter lifecycle and other firm financial metrics.

The role will also work on other key regional projects that support the firm wide objectives of billing standardization and improved accounting service delivery.

The reporting analyst will utilizevarious data extraction tools to provide data summaries and develop more complex reporting when required by their customers.


Responsibilities

  • Review, reconcile, and draft VAT filings.
  • Understand the firm's data structure/sources and the methods used to extract data.
  • Assemble data for business reports, analyze data and calculations for accuracy, and resolve errors.
  • Work with the firm wide business intelligence team to develop stock reports that provide the end users with the ability to selfserve on common requests.
  • Participate in regional and firm wide projects as they relate to reporting and analysis.
  • Experience with VAT returns/reporting.
  • A minimum of 2 years of accounting or financial analysis experience.
  • Advanced capabilities and knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience working in a client facing position or a professional services firm desired.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance
  • General understanding of reporting, reporting platforms (SQL, Cognos)
