    About The Role
    Electrical Technician
    Location: Field-Based Dorset, Wilshire, Somerset
    Salary:circa £37,500per annum (DOE) plus stand-by allowance and overtime opportunities
    Role Type: Permanent, Full-Time, 37 hours per week

    Ancala Water Services is a private utilities company providing clean and wastewater services to over 1,000 Ministry of Defence establishments across England and Wales. Our aim is to revolutionise the operation of the water services industry, but we need top talent to help us achieve this.
    As part of our front-line operation, our Electrical Technicians are responsible for ensuring the PPM and reactive work of our electrical assets is completed to a high standard for both clean and wastewater sites. This is a customer facing role based in/around Dorset and Wiltshire and we are looking for candidates based ideally around the Salisbury, Trowbridge and Blandford Forum areas which will give you a good base for this field-based role. This role includes mobile working, carrying out your role with minimal supervision in remote geographical locations and participating in a Standby rota one week in four.     What Youll Be Doing:

    • Completing PPM & reactive electrical tasks within timescale, quality and cost parameters
    • Building and developing relationships with operational customers, colleagues, suppliers and sub-contractors
    • Working to improve the value, performance and overall service of the Mechanical & Electrical Team
    • Identifying follow-on work after completing planned or reactive tasks
    • Working in a lean manner to minimise travel time and disruption to our customers
    • Conducting risk assessments and creating method statements where required to safely carry out maintenance activities

    What Youll Bring:
    • 18th Edition / C&G Level 3 / Electrical Engineering or the equivalent time-served experience
    • A background within an industrial asset maintenance setting is crucial for this role
    • Ability to read panel drawings and fault find single or three-phase systems
    • Experience with inverters, motors and star delta system
    • Self-motivation with the desire to contribute positively and productively to the team
    • Strong communication skills to allow you to keep colleagues and customers informed of job progress
    • Willingness to take part in a regional on-call rota to provide out of hours response and support to customers
    • Comfortable working under minimal supervision and travelling to sites in your area as required
    • Ability to work as a problem solver who can respond well to conflicting and changing priorities
    About you:
    Due to the nature of sites on which we operate, the successful candidate must:
    • Meet the security clearance requirements for the role which includes, but is not limited to, the successful candidate being a full-time resident of the UK for the past 5 years
    • Ability to obtain Security Clearance which involves a Criminal Record Check and a full MoD Security Application and associated verification processes
    • You must have a valid driving licence. This role involves a varied amount of daily driving to and from sites and client bases and there may be occasional overnight stays
