    The job itself

    6 hours in school term and 12 hours in the holidays – days to be discussed with parents

    The ideal candidate will be conscientious and willing to be flexible to meet the requirements of the family. They will need to have knowledge of working with Children with special educational needs.

    Kind and caring individuals with experience of working with disabilities and behaviours that may challenge required for work with a 15-year-old boy with additional needs. Support needed with personal care. The right candidate must be willing to build a relationship up with the young person.

    This young person enjoys community-based activities that are sensory and quiet in nature. These activities may involve animals due to his love of them. The young person enjoys music, television shows and games and will partake in these within specific situations. This young person is open to a variety of suitable activities and enjoys intensive interaction with people.

    Young person has their own vehicle for travelling in the community. He has support on a 2:1 basis.

    The candidate must be a car owner and a full driving licence is essential.
