- Filing documents in physical and digital records and ensuring appropriate storage

Job Purpose
The Information Manager (IM) will support multiple design groups being responsible for the timely, accurate and efficient preparation and management of project documents and data internally and externally.
Role Overview
The IM will be responsible for all documentation and data movement, integrity, and security. They will control the structure of the data systems and its successful use, including numbering, sorting, filing, storing and retrieval of both electronic and hard copy documents produced by technical teams, projects, or design groups, for example drawings, models, reports, specifications and schedules. Ensuring all documentation meets formal requirements and required company or client standards.
The IM will require a high level of relevant competence and experience. A strong understanding of industry systems is essential and an understanding of ISO19650 would be advantageous. They will proactively lead by example in the use of EDMS and data transmittal.
Managing and mentoring EDMS process and technology forms a significant part of this role. The IM will be the expert in their field and as such the 'go to' person. Providing key skills, coaching and experience with multiple EDMS tools such as Deltek PIM, Aconex and BIM360/ACC etc. An eye for detail and a focus on quality must be at the forefront with a passion for technology and its efficient use within a working environment.
