Are you able to perform a wide range of duties to deliver best possible care for patients? If you do, we would like to hear from you - as we are currently looking for compassionate and motivated Histology Cancer Tracker to join our Pathology team at Basildon.

You will be responsible for the proactive monitoring and tracking of cancer patients, ensuring that the patients journey in Histology is processed in a timely and efficient manner, in line with Cancer waiting times targets.

To navigate patients through their care pathway, using hospital IT systems along with pathology LIMS system, Somerset and results reporting.

To review daily the Cancer Escalation list to support tracking and updating the excel spread sheet and review the TAT figures to provide a clear picture of percentage of patients on a two week cancer pathway.

Navigating patients through their care pathway in Histology the post holder will be working alongside the administrative staff, laboratory staff and clinical colleagues in histology and colleagues from the Cancer Team to support the process, identifying and resolving any delays in the patients pathway.
You will be responsible for highlighting any bottlenecks within the process, communicating regularly with line management updating, daily, the Histology Escalation list.
Supporting the office team with administrative tasks and referrals.
