    Description
    To lead the product quality ensuring ongoing development, maintenance and implementation of quality assurance and control systems within operations. Comply with all hygiene, health, safety, legal and quality requirements. As part of the Head of Technical role, you will also be a member of the Senior Management Team.

    Factory Quality:

    Ensure the factory quality agenda is managed effectively so that products are manufactured legally and safely, in compliance with customer and internal company specifications and standards.

    Carry out shelf life testing and review results on management meetings.

    Laboratory:
    Ensure all testing is performed internally and externally by approved contractors within the frequency required. Ensure all testing meets customer and internal requirements.


    Product Launches:
    Ensure new products are lunched accordingly with the standard, in a safe/quality/legal manner


    Product & Procedures:

    Ensure all non-conforming products are assessed and relevant actions are taken in together with the managing director and other senior managers (if required), considering safety, quality, integrity and legality.

    Ensure all procedures/process deviations are analysed and actioned in a safe & legal manner.
    Hygiene &


    GMP:
    Ensure that the company has up to date, consistent and appropriate cleaning and
    Ensure labelling is correct and meet legal requirements.

    Services Approval Management:
    Ensure all suppliers and contractors used are approved according to internal procedures and meeting BRC/Customer requirements previously use. Ensure all ingredients, packaging, consumables and chemicals are approved according to internal procedures and meeting BRC/Customer requirements previously use.

    Wastage:
    Responsible for verifying collection is undertaken and waste reports are received and maintained.

    KPIs:
    Appraise/review performances set as KPIs on management meetings


    Staff Management:
    Ensure adequate management and that induction/training is given to staff.
