Description

Our client, a world leading IT services contractor is searching for an experienced Automation Test Specialist that holds active SC Clearance to work with one of their government clients.

To be considered, your UK security clearance must be active (used in the last 12 months).

Day Rate:
Up to £500 (inside IR35)

Location:
Mainly remote - adhoc travel to London

Duration:
Initial 6-month contract with extensions likely

Experience using Jest, Selenium, Citrus, Gherkin/Cucumber, Gitlab CI, Docker, custom API testing, JUnit, Programming language skills(java), Test Management tool experience and (if automating NFR testing) knowledge of Jmeter REST Assured (you only need some of these) technologies and approaches for planning and executing automated QA tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Utilize your expertise in automated testing frameworks such as Jest, Selenium, Citrus, and Gherkin/Cucumber to develop robust and maintainable test scripts.
Proficiently navigate version control systems, particularly Gitlab CI, to integrate automated tests into the continuous integration pipeline.
Harness the power of containerization with Docker to facilitate efficient and scalable testing environments.
Demonstrate proficiency in custom API testing, utilizing tools and frameworks such as JUnit and REST Assured.
Leverage programming language skills in Java to build and enhance test automation frameworks.
Possess experience with test management tools for comprehensive test planning and execution.
Familiarity with Non-Functional Requirements (NFR) testing, including knowledge of JMeter, is a plus.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in automated testing with a strong emphasis on test automation frameworks.
Solid programming skills in Java, with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, and continuous integration tools such as Gitlab CI.
Proficiency in automated testing tools such as Jest, Selenium, Citrus, and Gherkin/Cucumber.
Knowledge of Docker for containerization to enhance test environment efficiency.
Familiarity with custom API testing using frameworks like JUnit and REST Assured.
Previous exposure to Non-Functional Requirements (NFR) testing, including tools like JMeter, is a plus.
Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
