Position Summary:
We are expanding our existing team of Maintenance technicians at our Depot in Crewe and are looking to engage a number of technicians to commence work as soon as possible.
Industries considered:
Locomotive, HGV, PSV, Heavy Mobile Plant or Automotive Mechanics/Fitting
Disciplines considered:
Diesel Loco Mechanical/Electrical Fitter
Person Profile/Experience:
A skilled mechanic and ideally time served, you will have previous experience of undertaking maintenance, service and repair work on Diesel Locomotives, HGV's/PSV's/Heavy Mobile Plant or Automotive.
Adhere to health and safety and local safety policy requirements, and other safety and technical standards. Comply with all instructions, rules and regulations in force
Maintain, service, fault find and repair rolling stock in accordance with the approved maintenance plans as required by the local manager
Ensure all relevant paperwork for examinations and repairs is correctly completed on time and to required company standards
You will be physically fit and healthy, you will be required to undertake a NWR related medical and drugs & alcohol test which must be passed before any offer can be made, have a good sense of humour and be prepared to work outdoors where required.
You willideally have a full (clean) driving license and be flexible enough to travel to other local sites in the region from time to time.
Due to the nature of the work/role, an appreciation of H&S at work is essential, plus in line with Rail Industry Protocols there is a zero policy re being under the influence of Drugs or AlcoholQualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a Mechanical/Electrical fitting skill set
