Development Team Lead
Marshall Wolfe are proud to be supporting a local Software Company on their search for a Development Team Lead.

As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing and motivating a team of talented developers, artists and QA analysts to drive the end-to-enddevelopment of their games software.

Reporting to the Product Manager, you will ensure product development timelines are met and oversee the mentorship within the team.


What you need to succeed:


  • Background in the management of software development, for example for Project Management, Scrum Master or Software Delivery Management.
  • Experience in various development methodologies e.g. Agile, Waterfall.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to multitask and keep the plates spinning.
  • Ability to coach & mentor, as well as manage performance.

Key deliverables will include:

Team Workflow Management

  • Fostering and assisting in a healthy collaborative relationship across teams, both within the studio and the wider business.
  • Ensuring that the team have a development plan which is aligned with, and helps achieve, the studio strategy.
  • Effectively allocating appropriate resources to projects, under the direction of the product manager, to ensure that project deadlines and requirements are met.
  • Assisting the Product Manager in continually improving the development process to support business objectives.
  • The provision of regular feedback to the Product Manager, regarding team performance and project progress.
  • Manage the product development backlog and ensure the team is never over or under committed to projects.
Managing and Mentoring the team

  • Perform regular catchups with team members as necessary.
  • Participates in the recruitment of new staff along with the Product Manager, when necessary.
  • Ensures that the team members are equipped with the requisite skill set required for both current and future projects by developing a training and career development plan for each team member.
  • Conducts performance appraisals of department members at least twice a year.
