Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.

  • To provide assistance to all customers in using the library and its facilities, including print and online resources.


We are a small team supporting all staff across the health community and students on placement, providing knowledge and evidence to drive excellent care and learning.


  • Provide signposting services to other departments, e.g. IT helpdesk, workforce for elearning enquiries, facilities for access and ID requests.
  • Help maintain the learning environment by updating PCs, checking equipment and reporting faults.
  • Assist customers with circulation functions: borrowing, renewing, returning items and help them to use the self service kiosk.
  • Ensure the physical collections are easy to use by reshelving and tidying. Make newly acquired stock shelf ready and withdraw old stock.
  • Provide feedback to the library team on customer requests and feedback, to help us develop the service to be more customer friendly.
  • Support with design and creation of materials for social media
  • Other duties commensurate with the grade and nature of the position as directed by the Knowledge and Library Services Manager.
