Role Description
The assistant bar manager is responsible for multiple bars (9 bars plus mobile and pop units), stock control procedures and management of a diverse team.
The role is to ensure our bars' operation is executed to the highest standard across a wide varietyof live shows and events.
They will work closely with the bar manager to drive financial success and achieve annual company targets.What it's like to work in the Team

Competencies / Skills / Knowledge / Experience
Essential
- Experience in bar supervision or management in the hospitality industry or live venues
- Proficient in Microsoft Office packages and EPOS systems
- Knowledge in cellar management
- Understanding of health and safety regulations and licensing
- Attention to detail and good communication skills
Desirable
- Previous Experience of working with the General Public.
- A genuine interest in Conferencing and Live Entertainment, with previous experience of working in a pressurised Event Environment.
- Supervisory Experience.
- Personal License Holder

What the role includes
- Recruitment and training of bar team employees
- Stock management, ordering and regular stocktakes
- Smooth running of operational responsibilities
- Supervision of a large team including hourly paid staff and Supervisors
- Achieving targets as set by the bar manager
- Financial and static reporting
- Cash management
- Updating and writing Health and Safety documentation
- Liaison with suppliers, partners and head office
- Bars and cellars maintenance and repair and service organisation
- Supervision of deliveries
- Firstclass client and customer service
- Highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene across all bar operations
