    We are looking for:
    A CAD Technician to generate, manage and maintain all site engineering drawings at our Cramlington site. At Pharmaron we offer:

  • Requirements: Essential:
  • A CAD (Computer Aided Design) Certification
  • Previous experience as a CAD technician
  • Advanced knowledge of CAD and AutoCAD software.
  • Ability to read and translate blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Basic understanding of building design and mechanical processes.
  • Desirable:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or architectural studies.
  • Autodesk certified professional in AutoCAD design and drafting.
  • Autodesk Certified Professional in Civil 3D for Infrastructure Design.
  • Key roles and responsibilities:
  • To generate, manage and maintain all site engineering drawings
  • Ensure that the site engineering drawings are maintained in an orderly and tidy fashion. Maintain the plant zoning and other Safety & Environmental related drawings.
  • Work closely with process, project and plant engineers to ensure that sensible priorities are set and that CAD work is completed in time to meet project plans.
  • Work with the members of all site teams to ensure that all relevant CAD drawings are modified and updated as necessary.
  • Ensure that revisions are issued to the specified locations (e.g. permit offices and emergency response files).
  • Maintain the ELDs (Electronic License Delivery) and ULDs to as built status by promptly updating them as requested by process engineers on completion of projects.
  • Audit plant ELDs and ULDs at least 4 times per year. Record and report any discrepancies and update any hand-marked changes due to minor design changes.
  • Prepare project ELDs as required by the process engineers and generate hard copy prints as requested by project engineers.
  • Maintain Maintenance Engineering drawings as required by the plant engineers.
  • Ensure that the CAD system including plotters and printers are maintained in good working order and initiate upgrades as necessary.
  • Provide assistance to all other functional departments in the procurement of engineering documentation from the site engineering archive.
  • Ensure that a record of the official location of drawings is maintained and ensure that correct change procedures are employed when modifying drawings.
  • Identify any potential improvements in the operation and running of the Engineering Department.
