    Spring Lane School

    Teachers Pay Scale: £12,000 to £18,610 per annum

    Post Status: Permanent

    Spring Lane School is a Secondary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) committed to providing high-quality, inclusive education to the most disadvantaged pupils. We are looking for an inspiring and dedicated English Teacher to join our team in September 2024 on a part-time basis (0.4 FTE). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the educational experiences of our students and helping them succeed in their next phase of life.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils.
  • Adapt the English curriculum to meet the needs of a diverse range of students within Spring Lane School's curriculum pathways.
  • Assess and monitor students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support for improvement.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports students' emotional and academic development.
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure students' educational and personal needs are met.
  • Act as a form tutor for pupils, advocating in all aspects of school - engagement, behaviour, attendance, SEN and safeguarding
  • Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development opportunities as required.

    • Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in English or a related field.
  • Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and tailor teaching methods to suit individual student needs.
  • A commitment to inclusion and a passion for helping disadvantaged pupils succeed.
