    The shift pattern is Monday to Sunday.

    Glasgow City HSCP is growing its capacity to deliver on the transfer of some care and treatments to more appropriate services away from general practice. This Includes the Vaccination Programme which is coordinated at a NHSGGC board level with the HSCP overseeing implementation. The Immunisation and injections team will work in collaboration with Public Health and general practice colleagues and other agencies to address Health Inequalities

    As part of the immunisation, vaccination and injection team, the post holder will provide an accessible, appropriate, culturally sensitive, safe, person centred and effective service for Adults, children and young people in the community; working in partnership with Patients, children, young people and families, care providers and other agencies, including General Practice, Primary Care, Education and Public Health.

    The post holder will be a first level nurse who will support Team lead and wider team to provide a safe, person centred and effective quality service.

  • The post holder should show evidence of continuing professional development, including immunisation. IT skills essential as well as good communication skills and the ability to work on own initiative with Leadership and problem solving skills.
  • You should be able to work as part of a team
  • Car driver essential, driving within city/countryside environments
  • Experience of working with adults, children, young people and families/ carers would be desirable as would an awareness of national immunisation and vaccination policy drivers
  • Previous experience of delivering immunisations would be beneficial
  • Awareness of national policy and legislation within Adult and Children's services
  • Completion of e-learning course 'Promoting Effective Immunisation and vaccination Practice
