- To manage and oversee the time, attendance and wellbeing of all Toolroom personnel
- To manage all Toolroom staff, including but not limited to PBO setting and performance monitoring.
- To control the day to day loading of work to the Toolmakers and Machinists
- To keep all tooling jobs on track and within agreed timescales
- Responsible for the MAPEX TPM schedule
- Responsible for quoting Internal tooling and development jobs
- To lead and assist in Toolroom improvement activities
- To work with minimum supervision
- Liaise with mould shop staff and managers
- Support all engineering departments
- Ensure all working procedures within the department are adhered to by all toolroom staff.
- To assist in controlling the Toolroom budget
- To manage the ordering and receiving of supplier's parts
- To hold and attend meetings pertaining to Tooling or Development related issues
- To uphold and ensure compliance to all Health & Safety - Environmental legislations
- Comply with the Health & Safety Policy and observe all the safety rules to ensure your personal safety and the safety of others.
- Ensure that you comply and adopt the 5S programme regarding the organisation of your work environment
- Full apprenticeship or time served as Toolmaker
- HNC (or higher) in Engineering
- Previous supervisory experience
- All toolmaking and development skills
- Toolmaking processes
- CNC knowledge
- Moulding & Processes
- To undertake training as and when required
- Prepared to be 'hands on'
