Description
This role will focus on capital modelling and supporting business planning, exposure management and outwards reinsurance analysis.

  • Assist in the maintenance, development and BAU running of the Scor Syndicate Internal Capital Model.
  • Assist with Stress and Scenario testing of the model.
  • Validation of the model and assisting with validation reporting.
  • Prepare and maintain the data required for quarterly capital assessments. Proactively analyse and evaluate methods and processes to maximise efficiency of work.
  • Contribute to the delivery of capital reports and the communication of results, key assumptions and uncertainties to the internal and external stakeholders.
  • Aid the development and maintenance of documentation of capital models in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to business planning, outwards reinsurance purchase and technical provisions processes.
  • Assist with SCOR Internal Model requests to enhance integration with the group model.
  • Aid in adhoc projects as required.

Required Education

  • Strong Mathematical/Actuarial background or equivalent
  • Knowledge or experience in reinsurance/insurance business (desirable but not required).
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong aptitude, personality and intellect
  • Curiosity and a desire to learn
  • Common sense and sound basic judgement
  • A personality capable of working efficiently and collaboratively across cultural boundaries
  • Eagerness to work towards actuarial qualification
