- Precision Cutting: Execute precise cutting of toiles and final samples for fittings, fashion events, VIP clientele, and personal orders.
- Machinist Support: Assist in setting up dockets for machinists, meticulously organizing trims, zips, and other components essential for garment assembly. Take ownership of managing stock levels, conducting regular inventories to replenish supplies as needed.
- Documentation Management: Maintain meticulous records of all trims and materials, filing and organising information in both general and seasonal folders. Create seasonal thread charts to guide machinists in their work.
- Fabric Coordination: Assist in managing stock levels of fabrics, recording usage, and conducting essential tests such as fuse trials, shrink tests, and stitch trial packs on new fabrics. Ensure accurate logging of fabric information in the seasonal fabric folder.
- Collaborative Learning: Engage in hands-on learning experiences alongside experienced professionals, gaining insights into the nuances of garment construction, fabric handling, and pattern recognition. Develop a comprehensive understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) and garment construction processes.
- Supplier Liaison: Facilitate communication with external suppliers and factories, ensuring all necessary components and patterns are provided for sample production. Collaborate closely with various departments including Design, Product Development, Technical, and Production teams to streamline the factory send-outs process.
