    We are currently recruiting for an Anti-Social Behaviour Officer who will be responsible for investigating and managing ASB for social housing tenants.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a patch of ASB cases, ranging from low level disputes to complex high level court cases. You will have your own caseload of ASB cases, conduct risk assessments, including equality and diversity reviews to ensure that breaches are responded to in an effective manner and inline with Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Councils internal policies and procedures.

    You will work with and signpost to other agencies where appropriate and take swift enforcement action against the perpetrators of ASB.

    The successful candidate must be committed to the Council's Vision and carry out work within the spirit and intention of its core values.

    The post holder will be required to gather witness statements, evidence, and formulate cases prior to instruction of legal services and to attend and present at Court where legal action is taken. They will interview victims, perpetrators, and potential witnesses of ASB and ensure that the appropriate monitoring takes place.

    The successful candidate will need experience of managing and resolving ASB within a Local Authority or similar environment and hold a professional qualification or can demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development. Have experience of working with a range of partners, including communities, to develop new and different ways of working. Experience of managing conflict and dealing with disputes. Have experience of working to tight deadlines. A good knowledge of crime and disorder and antisocial behaviour legislation and issues.

    Knowledge of issues affecting tenancy and leasehold management, rights and responsibilities and the enforcement of tenancy and leasehold conditions. Must have good all-round interpersonal skills and ability to deal with people at all levels establishing and meeting need with tact and diplomacy. Must be self-motivated, assertive but tactful.

    In order to be considered for this role, you must have proven experience in a similar role and be a confident communicator, with excellent knowledge surrounding Housing and ASB issues. You will also need to meet all esential criteria found in the person specification.
