Bidwells are looking for a Credit Control Assistant Apprentice

This is a full time role based in our Cambridge Head Office.

The successful applicant will join our close knit team of Client Accounting Professionals within our Investment and Property Management team.

You will report into the Senior Credit Controller.

We will put you through a Credit Control apprenticeship. You will be given time off each week to undertake your course and take time to study. You will receive on the job training and support from the wider finance team.


What you'll be doing:


  • Maintain accurate records of arrears chasing using keynotes
  • Reconciliation and preparation of tenant statements
  • Monitoring and refund of unallocated cash and credit notes
  • Liaise with Property Managers re arrears chasing
  • Issue automated chasing letters
  • Issue weekly debtor reports to Property Managers
  • Issue weekly demand prerun report and run live

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Minimum of BCC at A Level
  • Strong GCSE's in Maths and English
  • An interest in Finance
  • Strong communicator professional and polite
  • A friendly and helpful disposition
  • The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
  • The ability to work as part of a team and provide a quality service
  • The ability to remain calm when under pressure and working to deadlines
  • The ability to change between tasks, quickly, when required
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Motivated and enthusiastic
