What to Expect

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Glazing & Roof Systems Product Owner to become part of our Body Engineering Team based in Gaydon.

The Glazing & Sunroof Systems Product Owner's main purpose is to support and facilitate the Lead Engineers in the development and delivery of the Glazing and Roof Systems.

Where the Lead Engineers focus is to drive the specific systems and their supplier base, the Product Owners role is to aid and facilitate the Lead Engineer's and their path to the delivery of world class product delivery.

The Product Owner will need to draw on past technical and commercial delivery experience to help drive progress. The role will cover the fully product lifecycle from early concept stage through to serial production.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Liaise extensively across a range of stakeholders to free up issues internally and provide a clear pathway for product development.

Lead and develop sunroof system which includes management and progression of issues relating to both product and process.

Provide extensive support and ensure the Lead Engineers are equipped with the relevant tools to confidently carry out their tasks.

Fully drive and support Agile working mindset and process development.
Drive issues resolution through programme design and build phases.
Provide a presence on site at JLR build locations when required.

What You'll Need

Strong understanding of product launch and product development within the automotive sector.
Strong Engineering skill set through the full product cycle from concept to launch.
A communicative and positive manner as well as being able to confidently query provide technical solutions.
Technical and practical knowledge of glazing systems would be preferable.
Show a strong desire to deliver improvements in product and process development.
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, self-confidence and a 'passion for the product'.
High drive, self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision.
Committed, flexible, and able to work under pressure delivering within tight timelines.
