Shorterm Group are currently working with an Aviation client who are looking to appoint a
Senior Planning Engineer to join their successful team. Based at their facility on the beautiful Dorset cost in Southern England. They operate out of two hangars and are capable of maintaining up to 8 aircraft at a time.
The company specialises in Maintenance, service and overhaul of business Jets and are constantly expanding and improving their capabilities.

As a Senior Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for deputising for the Planning and Technical Manager and supervising the planning functions within the Planning and Technical Services Department.

Your key responsibilities will include:
*Owning the manpower plan and liaising with the Engineering Manager for manpower needs
*Owning the hangar plan
*Preparing customer maintenance quotations and supporting the Commercial Department with quotations, invoicing, and technical liaison
*Up keeping inspections man-hour databases and pre-load lists
*Raising the company's Work Orders as per customer WO and/or contract
*Listing and ordering pre-load items at least 7 days in advance
*Arranging all relevant outside agencies prior to aircraft arrival (e.g. NDT, BSI, weighing)
*Conducting internal pre-input meetings
*Auditing Work Order content upon return from the hangar floor
*Producing and issuing log book certificates
*Acting as the warranty programs controller
*Deputizing for the allocation of Planning Department work as appropriate

To be successful in this role, you should have a technical qualification in aircraft engineering/AML/apprenticeship and experience in a planning/technical support role.

A strong understanding of aviation regulation is also essential.
Preferred experience includes practical engineering experience, business aviation experience, and warranty claim experience.
