    Description

    Location:

    Leicester Square, London – Flexible office days (2 days per week)

    Reporting to:

    VP Finance

    Overall responsibility:

    Support Financial Controller in the preparation of the monthly, half yearly and yearly accounts for the management team, Board and external investors as well as day to day support of accounting duties.

    Key tasks:

  • Oversee merchant accounting for the Group, review journals and reconciliations made by other members of the team
  • Establish robust process for new connections with emphasis on revenue assurance
  • Assist with the month end reporting process, verifying and posting of entries made by other members of the finance team
  • Review and approve monthly prepayment and accrual schedules for the Group
  • Intercompany review of postings and reconciliations
  • Review balance sheet revaluations and support the Group monthly reconciliation process for management review
  • Support half year and year end audit requests
  • Review and post monthly payroll entries, and maintain payroll tax schedules
  • Support other Finance team members when required with various Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable approval of postings
  • Support the Financial Controller and VP Finance with ad hoc projects and ongoing improvements in the control and reporting processes
  • Ad hoc general ledger postings and account maintenance where required
  • The individual:

  • Ideally the individual will be around 5 years post qualified (either ACCA, CIMA or ACA)
  • Experience of working in complex finance structure, number of entities and currencies
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong excel skills and experience of accounting systems
  • Good problem-solving skills, with the ability to challenge and add value
  • Proactive individual able to work as part of a team or on their own
  • Ability to deliver to tight deadlines, prioritising and managing workload
  • A strong team player accustomed to operating in a professional but friendly environment
  • Qualifications:

    Strong academic background, including a university degree (preferably in a business/accountancy related subject) with a final 2:1 grade or above.

    Member of a professional body such as ACCA, CIMA or ACA
