Hain Daniels are currently recruiting for a CI lead based at our Grimsby and Clitheroe site. In Grimsby, we manufacture fresh soups for our New Covent Garden brand and for private label. In Clitheroe we manufacture traditional desserts.

The role of the CI lead is to be Continuous Improvement Leader for the UK, reporting to the Group CI Manager, you will, enable delivery of gross productivity targets in the order of 4% cost of goods sold year-on-year ongoing, Provide strategy development for the UK Manufacturing Site, Provide thought leadership and guidance to across the manufacturing Facility to develop and engage their behaviours in the move towards High Performing Team ways of working and Support productivity agenda by teaching A3 problem solving skills and deploying tools to meet targets in regard to cost out and building people capability.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver the agreed strategic roadmap to deliver year on year cost improvement targets
  • Lead and drive the Continuous Improvement (CI) project portfolio to deliver department productivity targets ensuring there is a strong pipeline of projects developed from the team loss analysis and developing all colleague engagement
  • Provide coaching and guidance to the leaders of the AM and PM pillars to develop their thinking and ways of working to step through the different TPM phases with engagement and rigour
  • Provide connection to ensure learnings and best practice are shared across the team and other departments

What you will need for the role / what it will take

  • Degree level equivalent education in finance, business or engineering
  • Continuous Improvement qualification (i.e. CI Black Belt)
  • Over 10 years of operational experience
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
