    The goal of the role holder is to develop and maintain the Digital capabilities to support the Digitalisation within the company.

    You will be part of the Digital Trading team which brings product development and business together as close as possible to design, develop and enhance their digital underwriting products.

    Dimensions and Key Result Areas

    The insurance market is developing quickly and Digital solutions in the SME segment will continue to grow significantly. This has a strong impact on the future distribution for SME business within the company.

    The Digital Product Analyst is a key player within the in-house development of the Digital capabilities including working with external vendors, various internal departments and stakeholders.

    The Product Analyst understands commercial insurance and is able to gather requirements, build and update specifications, schedule and plan monthly maintenance and product batches, create test plans and carry out UAT testing. The Senior Digital Analyst is also the go-to person for developers and underwriters in case of questions/issues. The Senior Digital Analyst also understands the digital process, downstream implications and is aware of upcoming regulatory changes for areas such as Insurance Act, Data Protection Act, FCA, GDPR.

Key to their success is ensuring that they drive client intimacy through the alignment of resources to respond to the ever-changing needs of their clients, while ensuring they maintain an on-going focus on delivering profitable underwriting. This entails having a true understanding of the needs and behaviours of their clients and the company has identified Digital Trading as key to this distribution. Digital Trading is essential to the company's future P&C strategy. The Digital Business Analyst plays an important role to make this a success.

    Frequent travel to the company's offices (UK and Europe) is required, flexibility is a must. You will also be working closely with colleagues in a relatively small team. They will be looking for someone with an entrepreneurial, positive 'can do' mind-set and someone who can easy blend in.

    Key Competencies

    • Minimum of 2 years Analyst experience within an Insurance E-traded environment
    • Good understanding of Digital software houses and the lifecycle and processes of E-trade transactions
    • Experience of the Acturis platform, products and associated operating model is desirable but not essential
    • An understanding of underwriting and broking processes
    • Previous data warehouse and SQL experience, ability to create and execute data queries
    • Strong Analytical ability, Judgement and decision making
    • Experience of requirements gathering

    • Ability to investigate and determine the root cause
    • Able to create test plans and carry out UAT testing
