    Description

    Are you a meticulous individual with a knack for numbers and a passion for finance? We are currently seeking a skilled Legal Cashier to join one of our client's dynamic team.

    Your primary responsibility will be to manage all financial operations within their firm while ensuring strict adherence to compliance regulations and industry standards.

    Legal Cashier experience is not a requirement however we do need someone who has previous experience working in accounts, the legal cashier side of the role can be trained.

    Salary:
    £26,000 - £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)
    Serve as the primary point of contact for all payment and accounting inquiries.
    Provide assistance to colleagues with accounting queries.
    Maintain accurate bookkeeping and accounts using Xero, in compliance with SRA Accounts Rules.
    Manage office and client ledgers efficiently.
    Oversee billing processes and ensure account balances are maintained.
    Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure financial stability.
    Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for directors and external auditors.
    Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
    Process transactions using various financial mechanisms such as bank transfers and cheques.
    Report any suspected account breaches or unauthorised activities.
    Support junior colleagues within the department and maintain positive relationships with staff and clients.
    Meet individual and team performance targets set by management.
    Adhere to Solicitors Accounts Rules, Code of Conduct, and Money Laundering Regulations.
    Effective time management abilities.
    Previous accounts experience.
    Strong knowledge of Excel.
    Familiarity with LEAP and Xero software.
    Recognised accounts qualification.
