We have a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Information Management to join our Information Management team.

    As Head of Information Management, you will be responsible for defining and implementing AMP's Information Management (IM) strategy.

    You will oversee and continue to improve existing IM frameworks, policies, processes to improve working practices and efficiency, drive productivity and enhance employee and customer experience. Partnering with stakeholders across the AMP Group to drive and support system improvement projects.

    The role will involve:

    • Developing an effective strategy for the company's IT infrastructure, tailored to the unique aspects of the business
    • Governing and embedding all information management policies and processes to ensure company and regulatory requirements are met
    • Working with business function heads and key stakeholders to plan, specify, create and introduce information management systems and software applications which embody the company processes and procedures
    • Overseeing the installation, configuring, maintenance and support that the Information Management Helpdesk provides including: Server hardware and software; Network hardware; PCs and laptops; Internet connections; Phone systems; handsets and tablets; Software applications; Offsite 'cloud' systems
    • Providing line management and mentorship to direct reports to drive high team performance and engagement
    • Providing leadership and project management to enable continuous improvement, effective decision-making, target setting, performance management, and conflict resolution.
    • Being accountable for ensuring cyber security and maintaining the cyber essentials accreditation
    • Providing expert analysis which will give a higher level of business intelligence and insight to support decision making
    • Implementing and governing efficient systems to gather data on energy production, labour and parts costs, availability, fuel consumption, carbon savings and compliance emissions
    • Leading on the automation of infrastructural processes managing assets including service operations, finance management, asset management, RHI management, customer management, compliance management, document control and CRM
    • Supporting effective library management, including managing permissions and compliance reporting
    • Managing Subject Access Requests (SARs), data sharing agreements, MOUs, data breaches and privacy notices
    • Inform the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plan
    • Remaining up-to-date with emerging technologies, especially within the realm of security
    • Ensuring provision of day-to-day and out-of-hours support to around 200 colleagues

    What we are looking for:

    A passionate and driven individual who has a keen interest in developing knowledge and implementing improvements and has the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

    • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification
    • Full UK Driving Licence
    • Ability to communicate strategic vision, self-motivate, take initiative and assume responsibility for delivery of complex projects
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
    • Full lifecycle development from UML, BPMN, prototypes, etc. into usable applications
    • Experience of effectively leading a high performing team to ensure they are developing and remain motivated within their role
    • Knowledge and practical experience of ITIL framework, ISO 9001, Cyber Essentials, GDPR
    • Knowledge of network infrastructure, OSI model, hardware configuration, diagnostics
    • Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Internet Information Services, DNS, VPN, Hyper-V
    • Ability to apply operational and technical skills and knowledge to business analysis, information quality, accuracy and business process efficiencies
    • Sound knowledge of asset management processes
    • Broad knowledge of information governance, data privacy, and data protection laws, regulations, and best practices
    • Experience of planning and project managing complex IT projects ensuring they are delivered on time and to budget
    • Experience of engaging with internal and external stakeholders in the development of dashboards to provide strategic and operational insights
    • Experience of leading an IM/Data/BI team
    • Experience of engaging with cross functional teams to deliver on time as per SLA's/project timescales
    • Hands on Service Delivery, Program Delivery and Operations experience
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline orientated environment
    • A critical thinker, using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems

    Additional Information:

    • Location: Hooton, Cheshire (we would also consider a base location at our Fort William office)
    • Competitive salary to be discussed at interview
    • Hours of work: 40 hours Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am-6pm, 1-hour unpaid lunch
    • Hybrid working
    • Full UK driving Licence and flexibility to travel to sites and offices as and when required
