Our client is a leading Private bank with an enviable track record. They are now looking to hire a Lending Control and Process implementation specialist.


Purpose of the role:


The role holder will be supporting the Chief Operating Officer (Banking) taking specific responsibility for the implementation of lending-related change activities and managing Major Incidents on behalf of the department.


Role Responsibilities:


  • Drive and manage the implementation of strategic initiatives (primarily lending-related)
  • Act as lead on Lending Programme projects
  • Act as lead on the project (lending) to document and improve lending processes and procedures across the department, including the design and implementation of controls where weaknesses or gaps are identified.
  • Feed into the department's Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), ensuring new lending risks or control deficiencies and remedial actions are highlighted to the Managers Risk Committee.
  • Manage, monitor, and deliver solutions for lending-related Compliance and Internal Audit reports and action points.

Qualifications

  • Desirable
  • CeMap (Level 3)
  • Prince 2 Agile Methodologies

Experience

  • Extensive financial services experience, preferably including control and/or change
  • Experience of process and control design and implementation
  • Experience of producing clear report summaries, making recommendations, and drawing up details action plans with clear accountability
  • Knowledge of key risk and UK regulation across lending portfolios and products
  • Experience in creating and enhancing a sound risk culture
  • Experience in contributing to change management processes and ability to bring about change management through buyin from peers to the new process
  • Experience with automation in a business operations environment
  • Knowledge of banking products, processes, and systems is an advantage
