Our client is currently seeking a skilled Accountant on a permanent basis. This full-time role will be based in Portsmouth working week is Monday to Friday.
Your proficiency in accounting software and regulatory knowledge will ensure compliance with policies and legislative requirements. You will play a vital role in managing supplier relationships, overseeing subcontractors, and maintaining excellent client/customer relationships.

Your ability to navigate complex financial landscapes with discretion and strict confidentiality will be crucial in upholding data protection and security requirements.

You will also actively support the professional development of your team, providing guidance and mentoring for AAT Level 2 apprenticeships to contribute to the growth and development of future finance professionals.

Ensure that the Sage 50 accounting system is kept up to date to provide accurate information to key stakeholders as per the required schedule.

• Provide quality assurance on all required monthly reports to the client (Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, Trial Balance, and Aged Debtors).
• Ensure compliance to the Mess Sage 50 Accounting procedures in full, and all aspects are delivered on time.
• Process all information with discretion and strict confidentiality to comply with data protection and other security requirements.

Recognised Accountancy qualification to Level 4 AAT.
Experience with accounting software.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Accurate data entry skills with keen attention to detail.
