Owned by Brett Graham, The Ledbury is a fine dining, 3 Michelin Star neighbourhood restaurant situated in Notting Hill. We pride ourselves on our warm and professional service culture along with our focus on serving seasonal British ingredients. We currently rear our own deer, Iberian pigs and Jersey cows and grow mushrooms in our fungarium.
The Ledbury is recognised as one of the finest wine programs in London, you will be able to try the best wines in the world. We offer huge range of different vintages in Champagne, Burgundy, Rhône, Bordeaux, and Piedmont. We have a strong culture of BYO which allows guests to bring their own wines.

The role:
To provide exceptional wine service to guests, including recommending and presenting wine selections. Following the steps of service and explaining the wines throughout the meal. Engage and assist guests with their selection of wines according to their preferences. Share your passion for wine with guests by offering insights to different varieties, regions, and vintages. Work with the sommelier team to maintain organization and cleanliness of the wine cellar. Assist with inventory management an ensure impeccable storage conditions for all wines.
Engage with guests in a friendly and approachable manner, answering questions, providing recommendations, and enhancing their overall dining experience through attentive and knowledgeable service. Work closely with the FOH service staff to ensure seamless coordination of wine service with food service, as well as supporting each other.
Who we are looking for:
A sommelier with a strong background of wine service and knowledge. Preferably with previous experience in a fine dining restaurant. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with guests in a warm and welcoming manner. Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. A team player mindset with a willingness to collaborate and support colleagues to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
Certified Sommelier accreditation (e.g., CMS, WSET) is required; a genuine passion for wine and a willingness to learn are essential.
