An experienced Business Development Manager is needed to join the team of this leading professional body for finance staff in healthcare in Bristol working in a hybrid working model.
They are the professional body for the healthcare finance profession where members get practical resources, insightful thought leadership, support with personal growth and CPD and access to an influential network.
About the Role
This role is suited to a professional who is looking for a new business role which would grow towards account management.
As a member of the business development team, you should be an excellent communicator and facilitator.
You should have the capability to propose concise, complete and compelling media campaigns to their customers which deliver real business value to themand the NHS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and target market segments and companies
- Understand the challenges your prospects are experiencing in healthcare
- Promote their members
- Develop, match and sell existing and new media packages and strategies for your clients that will provide them and their members with a positive outcome
- Account management and growing new business accounts the ultimate goal is to turn them into key accounts which you will be responsible for
- Take customer projects through to conclusion and ensure all services purchased are delivered to a high standard
- Regularly assess what the competition is doing and think about ways the company could enhance and improve its existing offering
- Attend their internal events and external events
- Attend face to face meetings all around the UK
Required Experience:
- Previous experience selling a number of solutions and recommending the most appropriate ones to your customers
- Approachable, inspires trust and good team spirit
- Forward looking, quick thinker
- A good understanding of the NHS landscape is highly desirable
- A degree or equivalent is preferred
- Proven track record of new business success with a demonstrable range of wins to highlight
- Good allround education
- Demonstrable experience in achieving and exceeding challenging revenue goals and targets
Required Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a confident telephone manner
- Results and process orientated
- Ability to negotiate, influence and persuade others
- A high level of energy, enthusiasm, and drive to succeed
- Able to focus and is unlikely to get side tracked by peripheral items
- Likes being in the thick of the action
- Degree or equivalent preferred
