Description

This role's purpose is to design and build robust, scableable, secure PostgreSQL systems along with setting up high availability and replication.

Use of failover, switchover, PEM and Tuning techniques will be required to build a Zero tolerance database system.

Rate:
up to £520 a day inside IR35

Working Style: 2 days a week on site with occasional shift work expected covering 0700hrs-1800hrs

Contract Length:
Initially 6 months with possibility of extension

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Circa 5+ years experience supporting Development and Production database environments within Financial Services
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL 13 or latest.
  • Windows clustering, High Availability using MS Clustering and SQL Always On.
  • Performance tuning and knowledge of TSQL.
  • Knowledge on Linux & Windows Servers.
  • TSQL
  • Experience with other open source databases & MSSQL
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA): SQL Server 2016 or above.
  • Basic Knowledge on Oracle & MySQL technologies.
