UK Settlements Manager (energy)

Location:
Remote with occasional travel to Oxford

Salary:
£50k - £65k

Summary:

Key responsibilities:

Subject matter expert for National Grid and Elexon Balancing Services and charges and data flows relevant to Grid scale storage and solar installations
Manage relationships with key external delivery partners to support fulfilment of route to market service
Resolving client settlement and industry charge related queries
Confirmation, reconciliation and settlement of trading activity / industry costs
Preparation of invoicing, reporting and monthend process
Lead the expansion of the team to cover more backoffice services in the future
Support analysis of contract / service agreements for settlement purposes
Lead responses to settlement code modifications and industry consultations
Represent the business in external forums on settlement and industry changes

Skills and experience required:

3 or more years? experience in settlement of Elexon and / or National Grid Balancing Services
Strong numerical and problemsolving skills able to assess errors to reconcile data
Excellent verbal/ written communication able to manage internal & external partners
Exceptional attention to detail
Strong leadership qualities and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated track record on continuous improvement delivery
Project management experience in ETRM or billing platforms (desirable)
Settlements experience with battery storage or other flex generation assets useful
Python, SQL and an interest in automating reporting useful
