Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen at University Hospitals Birmingham (UHB) to appoint a Macmillan Personalised Care Lead. Following an 18 month scoping project we have secured 3 years of Macmillan funding to improve patient experience through the delivery of personalised care at UHB as indicated in the NHS Long Term Plan

Providing strategic and operational leadership across the Trust; the post holder will work with a new team consisting of a project manager, patient experience manager, clinical educators, clinical support workers and cancer information and support services to support our teams in the delivery of personalised care.

This role will allow the successful individual a fantastic opportunity to shape, deliver and embed long-term sustained improvements to advance the services we offer to our patients, and to play a key role in the on-going cancer transformation within the trust.

Macmillan funding has been secured for this post for 3 years to deliver this programme; it is intended that a further business case will be submitted to substantiate this post dependant on the evaluation and outcome of the programme.

In the event that further funding beyond 3 years is not secured, the post-holder would be supported to find an alternative role within the Trust.
