    Vehicle Parts Procurement Buyer wanted for a busy Automotive Repair and Transportation group operating throughout Southern England . Must have Motor trade Experience.

    What We Do

    We specialise in vehicle recovery for major failure or accident, roadside repairs, mobile tyre services, mobile fuel decontamination, workshop repairs after breakdown through our own network and onward travel.

    Job Purpose


    A procurement buyer is responsible for the purchases of parts and ancillary services into the company. As a procurement buyer, you would be required to work closely with our national, local suppliers and internet suppliers to source the best value for all our buying needs.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Purchase goods, materials, components, or services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets
    • Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes and new projects and activities.
    • Review stock holdings to minimise wastage, negotiate impressed stock arrangements with suitable suppliers
    • Monitor and advise on any issues which present risk or opportunity to the organisation.
    • Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers.
    • Provide analysis on costs, new and existing and review cost reduction activities.
    • Prepare reports and updates as and when required.
    • Work closely with the service teams and review opportunities for continuous improvement and business improvements
    • Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilising negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods.
    • Prepare and raise purchase orders, review processes and improve efficiencies in the group purchasing procedures.

    Hours

    Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm

    Salary and Benefits:

    • £45,000 per annum. Additional generous bonus scheme based on the savings you make meaning earnings in excess of £45K are possible
