- Purchase goods, materials, components, or services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets
- Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes and new projects and activities.
- Review stock holdings to minimise wastage, negotiate impressed stock arrangements with suitable suppliers
- Monitor and advise on any issues which present risk or opportunity to the organisation.
- Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers.
- Provide analysis on costs, new and existing and review cost reduction activities.
- Prepare reports and updates as and when required.
- Work closely with the service teams and review opportunities for continuous improvement and business improvements
- Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilising negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods.
- Prepare and raise purchase orders, review processes and improve efficiencies in the group purchasing procedures.
- £45,000 per annum. Additional generous bonus scheme based on the savings you make meaning earnings in excess of £45K are possible

Job Purpose
A procurement buyer is responsible for the purchases of parts and ancillary services into the company. As a procurement buyer, you would be required to work closely with our national, local suppliers and internet suppliers to source the best value for all our buying needs.
