You will manage the Decorating Centres (DC's) in your region and all their selling activities. You will manage our strategic goals and investigate and propose new initiatives to improve sales.

You will be responsible for approximately 40 DC's. The Store Managers report into the District Operations Managers, who report into you. We're looking for a Regional Controller for the region around the North of England & Scotland.

You will report to the Decorating Centre and Commercial Operations Director.

Key Responsibilities

Recruit and provide leadership and mentorship to DOMs and Decorating Centre teams so that they want ongoing personal development to aid their productivity via development plans and the annual appraisal system.
Implement a formalised, structured sales approach complete with all the required administration to ensure organic sales growth, detailed price control, margin maximisation and compliance to company price architecture.
Handle the activities of the zone management team to ensure a approach to meet legal and network standards. Ensure that the team develops their staff ensuring they are trained, motivated and aware of their DC performance, to grow their productivity.
Mentor the management team in the need to understand the store performance via their monthly P&L statements and other management reports, which aids their knowledge of the business and their contribution to the control of costs and increase profitability.
Ensure relationships with all customers and all major contractors lead to mutually profitable business opportunities, ensuring PPG brands are topofmind. Ensure that DC staff understand the required standards and rationale behind delivering good customer experience. Represent PPG at events, exhibitions and seminars.
Collaborate with the Marketing department to deliver strategic marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

Preferable educated to Degree level or A Level standard as a minimum or qualified through appropriate levels of experience.
Shown experience leading a multisite network of retail or trade outlets with B2B experience.
A commercial approach to business, you can quickly gain indepth understanding of the Company and its operational and sales procedures and work within the organisation.
Able to analyse and disseminate information.
Knowledge of financial reporting systems and P&L management
