    What you'll do:

  • Monitor and support EDI workflows and interfaces.
  • Design and develop new interfaces for customer and supplier projects.

  • Role Purpose:

  • The role will enable the candidate to develop their skills and knowledge in the field of digital trading. They will learn how to support development projects, testing, go-live implementation and ongoing support and maintenance of EDI and other interfaces as they progress.
  • The EDI Junior Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day monitoring and support of EDI workflows and interfaces in addition to the design and development of new interfaces for customer and supplier projects enabling the business to trade effectively. This role will require daily interaction with internal and external stakeholders, as well as 3rd party vendors.
  • The successful applicant should have an understanding of e-commerce, a desire to learn more about electronic data interchange and be willing to learn more about how businesses trade electronically.
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • The primary responsibilities of the role is to support day-to-day operations, and new project implementations.
  • Day to Day Operations:
  • Monitor EDI interfaces, communication configuration and overall application health and availability.
  • Monitor the ticket queue for any new requests from the business and act on the request.
  • Work with the team to design, develop, test and promote to production of new interfaces and communication configuration assigned within the team.
  • Create and maintain solution and process documentation.
  • Stakeholder and Team Engagement:
  • Work collaboratively with team members to support the EDI application and interfaces.
  • Communicate clearly EDI project milestones and issues.
  • Support good relationships with 3rd party vendors, external customers and/or their suppliers
  • Accountabilities:

  • Delivering day-to-day tasks and assignments to agreed time and quality.
  • Delivering new projects to agreed time and quality.
  • Support ITIL Service Delivery as well as Audit and Regulatory programme controls.
  • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to improve the onboarding efficiency.
  • Skills and Competences:

  • Understanding of e-commerce, data structures, data flow concepts, data formatting, and communication methods.
  • Willingness to learn, and to share knowledge attained:
  • Analysing issue symptoms to lead to problem resolution.

  • Having the ability to create and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers and suppliers.

  • Additional desirable skills:

  • Foundational knowledge and experience relating to EDI and Integration projects:
  • EDI and other mapping standards – EDIFACT, Tradacoms, cXML.
  • Communication protocols – AS2, SFTP, FTPs, etc.
  • Foundational knowledge and experience of relational databases and database interaction:
  • Microsoft SQL Server.
  • ERP applications – SAGE.
