    In-House Lawyer - Automotive Start Up

    Location: North West London

    • £70,000 - £80,000 Basic Salary
    • 15% bonus

    The Role

    The Company Solicitor will play a crucial role in providing legal counsel and support to various departments and business units. You will be responsible for handling a wide range of legal matters, with a specific focus on corporate governance, compliance, GDPR, and contractual issues.

    • Overseeing internal legal matters within the company's purview.
    • Offering legal counsel and recommendations for the company's strategic decisions.
    • Collaborating to address pertinent legal matters throughout the company's operational processes, ensuring regulatory compliance.
    • Providing timely insights into operational issues to mitigate and prevent risks in business activities.
    • Crafting, reviewing, and amending a variety of legal documents and contracts, managing negotiations, execution, and fulfillment.
    • Dispensing legal advice and training to various company departments, organising relevant legal training sessions.
    • Aiding in resolving legal disputes, offering legal opinions, managing litigation/arbitration cases, and devising strategies and solutions.
    • Assessing and engaging external legal counsel, coordinating with external legal teams.
    • Managing additional daily legal tasks and assigned duties.

    The Qualifications

    • Hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in law, accompanied by a lawyer qualification certificate.
    • Possess over 3 years of legal experience, including roles in law firms and as an in-house legal representative.
    • Relevant experience within the automotive industry, with familiarity in EU automotive laws and regulations.
    • Proficient in using both local language and English as primary working languages.
    • Capable of independent analysis and offering legal counsel on potential risks and impacts in business operations, project implementation, and contracts.
    • Exceptional communication skills to interact with various internal departments, external entities, and legal professionals.
