    We're currently looking to add a Senior/Principal Hardware/Electrical Engineer to our Engineering team at Siemens Energy Gas and Power Services based in Lincoln.

    Working as part of the Engineering team you will be responsible for the design and development of Turbine and Auxiliary Control Panel hardware and Turbine Package electrical systems for Siemens Energy Gas and Power Services
    How You'll Make an Impact


    • To be able to develop solution to replace obsolete equipment/parts to able to maintain the businesses fleet of gas turbines
    • To convert these solution's into generic replacement kits/parts for retrofitting
    • To be able to design/construct new hardware solutions to replace obsolete Turbine controls system or upgrade current Turbine control systems
    • To be able to work with sub suppliers to design/construct new hardware solutions to replace obsolete auxiliary controls system eg

    Generator Control Panels:

    Motor Control Centres:

    Power Management Systems:
    Battery charger systems.


    • Identify electrical requirements for new control and instrumentation equipment located within Gas Explosive atmospheres
    • Support sales by supplying detailed quotes with regards to engineering times/potential hardware requirements/possible engineering solutions with regards to customer enquires
    What You Bring


    • A degree or equivalent professionally accredited or recognised in an engineering discipline preferably relating to the fields of Controls, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, and Software.
    • Working experience with hardware design CAD tools Promise-e and Microstation.
    • Working knowledge of change/configuration management tools and processes, as well as experience with other IT related tools and software for business analytics and project management.
    • Working knowledge of IEC60079 Explosive atmospheres Part 14: Electrical Installation design, selection and erection would be advantageous.
    • Experience of working with gas turbine technology or similar industrial products for Oil & Gas or Energy industry would be advantageous, but experience from other industries with transferrable skills could also be considered.
    • Practitioner of a Systems Engineering approach to product improvement is highly desirable.
