A 12 month contract is available to an experienced F&DT Engineer, ideally holding signatory status. Hybrid working is available, 3 days onsite per week with flexibility to work fully onsite as and when required. The client will also consider offering this position, working from their Broughton site.

Lead Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Engineer

Job Details:

The role is for a Lead F&DT engineer to perform and / or sign-off F&DT analysis within the team in either Filton or Broughton. The role will liaise with engineers and component teams to deliver design and certification deliverables e.g. dossiers, technical reports, etc. The role will involve familiarisation with baseline analysis and the updated requirements and complexities of the current certification tasks.

Main Tasks and Activities:

• Analysis of metallic structures using toolsets and processes.
• Compilation of F&DT certification dossiers, technical reports and provide an input to design review presentations.
• Approval of F&DT certification dossiers and technical reports.
• Progress reporting to Head of Engineering.

Job Requirements/Skills:

• Proven experience within an aerospace environment.
• 'Hands on' experience of airframe certification analysis; knowledge of Wing structures preferred.
• Airbus delegated F&DT approval level signature.
• Prior knowledge of F&DT analysis tools, methods and FEA.
• Strong working knowledge of Nastran, Python scripting and ISAMI preferred.
• Ability to meet the agreed delivery plan and report progression of deliverables.
