    Venn Group are supporting a healthcare client in London, who are looking for a Deputy Head of Clinical Procurement to join their busy Procurement department.

    Location: London (hybrid working / 3 days on site)

    Salary: £66,718 - £76,271 pa

    Role Summary: As Deputy Head, you'll lead a portfolio of major procurement projects, collaborating closely with senior stakeholders to deliver strategic initiatives. Your responsibilities will include providing procurement leadership, driving operational efficiency, and fostering a culture of innovation. You'll play a pivotal role in optimizing procurement processes, managing resources, and ensuring the delivery of financial and quality targets.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Leadership: Shape the department's culture for sustained success, providing support and guidance to your team.
    • Strategy: Lead the delivery of clinical procurement savings plans, driving multi-disciplinary projects for improved patient care.
    • Interface and Contractual Advice: Act as the client lead for high-value projects, providing procurement advice on complex negotiations.
    • Strategic Category Management: Continuously improve category strategies, promoting innovative services and products.
    • Contract Management: Lead proactive contract management approaches, ensuring close collaboration with internal teams.
    • Resource and Financial Management: Conduct financial analysis to support procurement projects, tracking savings and benefits.
    • Engage and Network: Develop a reputation as a responsive service provider, fostering collaborative relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
    • Change and Innovate: Foster a culture of innovation, leading strategies to implement changes and evaluate their effectiveness.
    • Personal Effectiveness and Development: Deputize for the Head of Procurement as required, contributing to the team's continuous improvement.

    Essential Requirements:

    • Significant line management experience
    • Working knowledge of the NHS/Public Sector and public sector procurement rules
    • Experience of managing complex procurement projects including business case, options appraisal, tender documentation, tender evaluation and contract award processes
    • Strong knowledge of clinical categories
